OPEYEMI AYOPO ADABONYAN

Mr. Adabonyan Opeyemi, a guest speaker for this event is an accomplished public servant, a seasoned professional, practising accountant and a versatile systems development practitioner. He was educated at IMT and University of Benin and also attended post-graduate courses in computer systems locally and overseas.

He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration in addition to being a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Fellow Institute of Credit Administration, Nigeria and Member Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK.

He is presently a Senior Partner at Lafenwa Osiberu & Co (Chartered Accountants) and a Council Member of the Institute of Credit Administration.

OSIBERU SOGA

Soga Osiberu is a partner in Lafenwa Osiberu & Co. and Chief Executive Officer of Secom Ltd, a Fintech consulting company. He is a seasoned Administrator and Chartered Accountants of over 19 years experience spanning Banking, Financial Services, Risk Management, Consulting and Management.

His experience in banking sector in capacity of Internal Control Officer, Regional Cluster Head, Branch Controller, Product Manager etc and Lafenwa Osiber & Co as Audit Senior, Audit Supervisor, Manger etc has greatly impact on the firm. He has represented the firm at various interview panels (Public & Private Sector), AGM’s, discussion panel. He is actively involved in various accounts supervision, and audit reviews.

Soga Osiberu is a graduate of Accounting, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Member Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

ILYAS OPEYEMI SHAKIRU

Mr. Ilyas Opeyemi who holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from University of Lagos is an Audit Manager at Lafenwa Osiberu & Co and an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He is also an Associate Member of the Association of Accountancy Bodies of West Africa (AABWA) and bagged his Diploma in IFRS from the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), UK

He has over ten years professional experience, serving clients in various industries, such as: petroleum, energy, trading, financial services, education as well as various government parastatals.

His experience cuts across every aspect of accounting, audit, taxation, financial management and business consulting services. Few amongst several assignments handled by him were financial audit, tax services, financial investigation, business process review, internal control systems evaluation, conversion of financial statements prepared under local GAAP to an IFRS compliant financial statements, business strategy proposals, accounting advisory services, and many more.

He is a highly experienced tax and accounting expert with a wealth of professional expertise and technical knowledge.

He has a wide and varied working experience with different organization in the public and private sector. Prior to joining Lafenwa Osiberu & Co., he worked with Mazars Consulting where he handled most of the firm;s top performing clients. He also worked with AIM Consultants (Cool FM, Wazobia and Nigeria Info. FM) as a compliance officer.

He holds a B.Sc degree in Accounting from Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin and is an Associate Member of the following professional institutions of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) and; Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria
